Applied Composites Names Marc Duvall as Chief Executive Officer

Long-time Aerospace Industry Executive Joins Leading Provider of Highly Complex Composite Structures & Assemblies

Lake Forest, CA, December 2, 2022 – Applied Composites Holdings, LLC (“Applied Composites” or the “Company”), a leading aerospace, space, and defense composites supplier, announced today that Marc Duvall has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Mr. Duvall is a seasoned aerospace executive who most recently served as President of the Aerostructures division of Collins Aerospace, a division of Raytheon Technologies. Prior to this role, he held a variety of senior leadership roles at Goodrich, Honeywell and Allied Signal. Mr. Duvall brings a strong combination of industry knowledge, executive leadership skills and best-in-class composites manufacturing experience to the Company.

Applied Composites is a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners L.P. (“AEI”), a private equity firm specializing in Aerospace, Defense & Government Services, Space, Power Generation & Utility Services and Specialty Industrial markets. Mr. Duvall has served as an Operating Partner at AEI since August 2022.

Applied Composites Earns spot in Boeing Premier Bidder Program

Brea, CA, June 23, 2021 – Today, Applied Composites announced it earned a spot in the Boeing Premier Bidder Program.

The program recognizes and rewards consistently high-performing Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing Global Services suppliers, strengthening Boeing’s collective performance and commitment to safety, quality and integrity.

The program provides Premier Bidder members with an opportunity to increase their business with Boeing, including visibility of upcoming bids and an invitation to program conferences with key Supply Chain leadership.

Applied Composites manufactures ducts, access doors, structures and fairings for the Boeing Next-Generation 737, 737 MAX, 767, 777, 777X and 787 Dreamliner.

Brea, CA – December 17, 2021 – Applied Composites announced today it received a BAE Systems Partner2Win Gold Supplier of the Year Award based on exceptional performance and contributions to supply chain success in 2021 for BAE Systems’ Combat Mission Systems business. Applied Composites Acquires North Coast Composites and North Coast Tool & Mold from Unitech

A Manufacturer of Advanced Aerospace Composites, North Coast Further Strengthens the Capabilities of the Applied Composites Platform

Lake Forest, CA, April 6, 2022 — Applied Composites Holdings, LLC (“Applied Composites”), a leading aerospace, space and defense composites supplier, announced today that it has acquired The Companies of North Coast, LLC (“North Coast” or the “Company”), a manufacturer of Resin Transfer Molded (“RTM”) composite structures and tooling, from Unitech Holdings, Inc. (“Unitech”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

This marks the sixth acquisition by the Applied Composites platform created by AE Industrial Partners, LP (“AEI”), a private equity firm specializing in aerospace, defense & government services, space, power & utility services, and specialty industrial markets.


North Coast consists of North Coast Composites and North Coast Tool & Mold, Unitech divisions located in the same facility in Cleveland, OH. North Coast Composites is a manufacturer of advanced composites for aerospace production through state-of-the-art fabrication of RTM and Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Molded (“VARTM”) components. North Coast Tool & Mold Corp. is a designer and manufacturer of quality molds and tools for the aerospace industry and a provider of a wide range of innovative manufacturing solutions. With a reputation for stellar customer service, North Coast counts many of the world’s leading aerospace and defense OEMs as customers.
