Applied Composites – San Diego (formerly San Diego Composites, Inc.) is committed to providing high quality materials and structures technology, product development, testing services, and production to the aerospace and defense community. The current facility at 9220 Activity Road in San Diego, CA totals 70,000 sq.ft. The building features high-bay ceilings (24.5+ ft) over the entire 50,000 sq.ft. of manufacturing and testing space. The building was designed with six-sigma manufacturing flow in mind and showcases the company’s transition into production and large hardware fabrication programs.
The 50,000 sq.ft. of manufacturing and test space includes 35,000 sq.ft. of production and assembly space, 6,700 sq.ft. over five (5) clean rooms, and a 6,000 sq.ft. machine shop. In addition, the facility reserves 20,000 sq.ft. for its engineering expertise and personnel.
